H.S.H. PRINCE ALBERT II OFFICIATES AT THE MONACO U.S. CELEBRITY CUP
TO REVITALIZE THE MONTE CARLO OPEN AND TO KICK OFF RYDER CUP FRANCE 2018
The Monaco U.S. Celebrity Cup serves to revitalize the once famous Monte Carlo Open officiated by Prince Rainier III of Monaco and Princess Grace. This annual golf tournament played from 1984 to 1992 gained international popularity as many celebrities from the U.S. and Europe attended.
In this spirit, the Monaco U.S. Celebrity Golf Cup was created. This is a private invitation only event where American Celebrities challenge European Celebrities to win the Monaco U.S. Celebrity Cup and to promote the upcoming Ryder Cup France 2018.
All the benefits from this event will go to a non-profit organisation " The Ryder Cup European Development Trust" aimed at developing youth golf.
The highlight of this event is the presentation of the U.S. Monaco Celebrity Cup trophy presented by H.S.H. Prince Albert II to the winning U.S. or European Team. This presentation will take place the evening of the golf tournament at a Black Tie Gala held at the Yacht Club of Monaco. This Gala Dinner will honor the Chairman of Ryder Cup France 2018 Pascal Grizot.
Charitable gifts from the proceeds will be offered to the Ryder Cup European Development Trust to help promote golf as a sport to beginners, youth, disabled and seniors. In addition, a charitable gift will be offered to the Prince Albert II Foundation for the future advancement of sustainable environmentally safe enhancement of golf course development.
